Unfortunately the new stylesheet looks quite differently on a TFT monitor than it does on a "real" screen. This unpleasant surprise unveiled itself to me after having uploaded the new stylesheet. I do all my developing on my laptop, and only see things on a normal screen when uploading all the stuff I've made. Just to set the record straight: I never meant for this ugly yellow colour to be the base of the new stylesheet. Alas, once again I have faced the shortcomings of a TFT-monitor. It cannot reveal the true colours you're working with. Anyway, this will have to do for now. I'll see if I cannot find that true, sandy colour I was aiming for on the TFT on a real monitor some time soon!

The same goes for the revised "REVERSE" stylesheet, which on a TFT has perfect contrast, but on a real screen almost none whatsoever...

I also get a strange "switching of styles" during loading of the pages, or after having switched stylesheet and then loading a new page. It's as if including 4 screen-stylesheets and one print-stylesheet is too much... Or maybe I'm doing the Javascript-switch on the wrong moment. Anyone any ideas?

There seems to be some problems with including so many stylesheets as I do (well many..., there only are five), but I've decided to just let it rest for now. Maybe I'll remove some of the stylesheets or just do something completely different. We'll see! I've updated the "Reverse" stylesheet. Now it's a little calmer and more complete.

Furthermore I've made this site really CSS and XHTML compliant. Jeroen correctly noted that there were several ID's that were being applied to more than one object - that of course is not allowed. Now I've adjusted this, changing the ID's to classes. This website will still not validate directly at the W3C-validator, because I use a webforward for my URL. This means that my DNS-service is being forwarded to my real webaddress by a free DNS-service provider (ZoneEdit). They forward my webaddress via a null-frame. Passing my URL through the validator only returns an ugly message saying that the frames are NOT VALID XHTML. Anyway, I've passed all my files one by one through the validator and they've passed. So the little banners on the right are now finally really valid!

After a tip from Jeroen Sangers and facing a steadily increase in maintenance per stylesheet, I decided to cut down on the number of offered stylesheets. "Black 'n White" and "Desert Dunes" will no longer be available. So if you have chosen one of those as your favourite / preferred stylesheet, please choose another one, or simply clear your cookies!
