For some time now I've been busying myself with reshaping and remodelling the code and structure of some of the websites of my employer. I start off with small, easy to grasp chunks and take it from there, slowly rebuilding the HTML and the CSS to adhere to webstandards. We aim low but our goal is very high. Before long we want our websites to comply with the HTML 4.01 Strict and CSS 2.1 standards, as well as going down the path known as the WAI guidelines.
For a taste of what's to come, take a look at the revamped International site and the website for the Dutch provinces and counties, the Gemeenteloket. Furthermore I've redone the entire code of the SZW Academie Reservation System, which can be queried at this address: http://home.szw.nl/academiereservering/ Oops, the new version isn't live yet; soon to come! (it's (a)live!). All three websites more or less comply with the aforementioned webstandards, except at times for the content - our next great challenge ;-)
